Steve has a troublesome metabolism…
…so he carries special protein bars formulated by Tony for emergencies.
He also carries his phone with him. On silent mode, of course. (When he remembers.)
The pouches are very handy for carrying things. The suit doesn’t have pockets because those are a snag hazard. The belt itself is a snag hazard too, but Steve is afraid to say anything because his snack pouches might get taken away.
The small flat pouch next to his buckle is for his back-up shield.
A real hero protects!
