So. This is my very first time drawing pre-serum Steve and I just had to show him off, because look at this sad baby boy. I just want to give him a hug and tell him everything’s gonna be okay (it’s not)

Captain America: Origins

Pt. 3/?? of the Max vs poster mockups series: in-universe edition

(or: HBO releases an “uncensored perspective” mini-series on Steve’s life at some indeterminate point in the future. He half-heartedly grumbles about lighting choices and veneers and historical inaccuracies to distract from how uncomfortable it makes him. Later, Bucky lovingly threatens to leave him for his on-screen counterpart if he keeps on bitching.)

is it a documentary? a pretentious and romanticized yet eerily-too-close-to-home A24 drama? up to you!in any case it’s once again actually just what I wanted to see

oh captain, you may sleep now,

but who did your shield truly protect, them or you?
