In the abyss where Sam Wilson's ass-kicking has put him, Steve Rogers does not, of course, stay down. He drags himself to his feet and then outruns an avalanche, from which Flying Sam saves him at the last second. Steve admits he was wrong, apologizes to Sam and tells him: "the next time you have something I need to hear . . . I promise to listen to Captain America." Sam admits some fault on his part too. Then the team goes back to its mission of saving Ian and stopping White Wolf and The New Revolution.

Bucky calls the remaining players, The Money and The Power, to the gaming table. He tells them he knows that their goal in this new Century Game is to control the world's supply of Neganite. But all the Neganite is found in Dimension Z and it belongs to The New Revolution. The Power tells Bucky that he has not in fact won because he has committed serious mistakes like "making dangerous allies, trusting your pet starpoints and worst of all . . . you're playing with Captain America." And then he muses as he and The Money depart the table --

Sitting on the throne of Dimension Z, White Wolf has sniffed out Bucky as a liar, abandons his plan with The New Revolution, and goes completely rogue. He snarls "Did they really think that the Master of Secrets would be outplayed in a Cold War by Captain America and the Winter Soldier? Did they really think . . . RRRGGGRRRR . . . that I'd be a good dog?"
White Wolf then transforms into an actual slavering Wolf and swamps the Earth with wolves and monsters to conquer it for the glory of Dimension Z.
