More cryptic messages are intercepted and decoded by the Radio Club. One of Steve's young art student friends get the names of the shield's original creators, Myron MacLain and Dr David Agboje, from the internet.

Captain America infiltrates The Forge fortress in Europe where the shield was created, hoping to get some answers. What he gets is an epic battle. The Powers behind the shadowy organization ultimately unleash a superpowered metal adversary to try to defeat Captain America and take his shield.

But where is Bucky? He seems to have disappeared and Steve can't reach him by phone or voicemail. We've already seen that Bucky is playing his cards very close to his chest, not sharing his file/intel/theories with Steve. Presumably this is to protect Steve, in case the Powers are still able to control the Winter Soldier as their "Century Weapon."

But in the final two pages of this issue, Bucky resurfaces in Madripoor, gambling at a high rollers baccarat table. He's there to confront the dealer and demand -- who is she really working for?
