Slashaholic Shipping Obsession, Year 9

Today is this blog's 9th Blogoversary -- I can't believe I'm still doing this! But Steve and Bucky's story continues to interest me and so I will carry on until the fascination is gone.

Apparently the Stucky Ship remains a top fandom, even after all this time --

Stucky maintains it's place as the #4 Top Ship of All Time on AO3 🥳

And new fandom content continues to be created, although I think the Golden Age has peaked and passed now. Without fresh MCU content to play off of, inspiration for new fandom works has flagged. Many of the classic fanartists, fanfic writers and bloggers have moved on to new ships or have just abandoned their old Stucky blogs.  But there is still enough fresh content to keep me interested for now.

  • FANDOM:
omg this fandom is so dead. no one makes new content.
  • CONTENT CREATORS:
hi, no, we're still here. making new stuff. lately people haven't been reblogging as much for some reason, but -
  • FANDOM:
sometimes i can still hear their voices...

There's some Marvel series/movies to look forward to in the next couple of years which should inject new enthusiasm into fandom creativity, I hope. In 2023, the Loki series sequel will stream, and I also believe there's supposed to be a second series of What If . . . ? Hopefully, it may have some Steve and Bucky content. In 2024, we should get the new Captain America Sam Wilson movie, as well as Bucky in Thunderbolts

And I approve of the rumoured Bucky-Yelena Belova romance which will be in that movie. Poor Bucky needs to get some romance in the hetero MCU!
