Switching to the present, as soon as Bucky Barnes, the New Revolution, takes his seat at the table, he immediately tries to kill everyone in an act of revenge. However, The Machine easily subdues him.

The BEST development in this issue is that Bucky brings Alpine to be with him in his new world. The Love visits Bucky to advise him that his violent ways are not effective here and will only backfire against him. She starts to pet and play with a purring Alpine, but then the cat turns on her unexpectedly and viciously bites her hand, drawing blood. The Love laughs and observes: "Your best friend until the moment she's not, my dear Revolution . . . you could learn a thing or two from cats."

It turns out that Dryad Peggy Carter was one of the Starpoints too, but the Outer Circle plans to replace her now because Bucky made her self-aware of her role when he fought her in Madripoor. Bucky secretly contacts Peggy, tells her that he's "at the table" and enlists her help "to flip it" and join him in his revenge --
"I've left you a contact lens in a safe one room over. Code is Steve's birthday. The real one. Not that July fourth crap. You're going to be my eyes and ears out there. I'll keep you a step ahead of them -- and you'll keep me among friends."
[And thereby brings into Canon the fanfic trope that Captain America's July 4th birthday is simply patriotic propaganda!]
His plans set, The New Revolution takes his place at the gaming table and, like a true evil genius villain, makes his first move with Alpine in his lap --
