"What's in a Name?"

[found here]

“My name is Bucky.”
This is such an important scene aside from Bucky remembering more of who he was before HYDRA took him and defying what everyone thinks he is.  Steve  is the only person in the entire world who knows him as Bucky.  To everyone else, he’s Barnes or the Winter Soldier or the Asset or a ghost story.  He’s a page in the history books as a Howling Commando or a fugitive on the run or a murderer.  He’s anything but Bucky.  Steve is the only one who’s ever called him Bucky until now, until he calls himself Bucky.  It’s not just a moment of affirmation for Bucky.  It’s one for Steve, too.  Steve sees here that finding Bucky and getting him back isn’t just a crazy hope. This is confirmation that it’s real.  This is their connection, and it’s only between them.  It’s even more powerful when you think about how they changed Natasha’s line from the trailer to “I know how much Bucky means to you” to “I know how much Barnes means to you” for the movie.
Bucky being Bucky is something that only Steve and Bucky share.
