My Summary:
A short ficlet about the Winter Soldier's and Natalia's forbidden love in the Red Room. Written from James' POV.
Excerpts:
“And when I trained her, those eyes barely looked at my face; she was too focused on attacking me. But I tried to look at her; even her hair always veiled most of her features when she moved with her lethal precision against my body. Then the fiery red hair of hers would brush past my arms when I eventually strangled her neck from behind. It was satin-like, and it rested almost peacefully on my skin when she finally stopped flailing under my force. It, then, swept past my arms at the end when she at last walked away from my embrace, and it became a longing for me—the softness.” — Russet Leaf.

As she stood atop the snow-capped peaks, observing the target that might come into our sight, the sharp cold wind would tangle her hair, and the white snow always pierced through her silky red. It was really beautiful—her bright hair was so beautiful that I had to tear my gaze away from the scope of my sniper many times, and we almost lost our target. “Eyes on the target, Soldier,” she would warn me. — Russet Leaf. 🍂
