Our Tom is 36 today!

Time again to celebrate Tom Hiddleston's 1981 birthday!

Poor Tom has not had the best year since his last birthday. Although his performance was praised, I Saw the Light essentially bombed. Then there was that whole Taylor Swift romance fiasco last summer. So embarrassing. WTF was THAT all about? Even winning a Golden Globe for The Night Manager was marred by that terrible acceptance speech he gave and had to apologize for later.

I enjoyed seeing him portray Hank Williams in I Saw the Light but it's true, the script was mediocre and pedestrian. Tom did the best anyone could have done with it though.

I watched The Night Manager too and quite frankly was not all that impressed with it. His character was too bland and generic.

I really, really wanted to enjoy High-Rise, but found the film and all the characters in it weird and off-putting.

So I hope the upcoming year is much better for Tom Hiddleston! Kong: Skull Island will be released (hmmm, not my type of movie), as will Thor: Ragnarok -- I fervently hope Tom returns to his previous glory in reprising the role of Loki! Time will tell.
