Take a Break, Steve
Everyone needs a holiday once in awhile, but Captain America is his own worst enemy in that department.
Where is CAPTAIN AMERICA?
“I should be doing something.”
“You’ve done enough. Let someone else take care of it for a change.”

Steve at the Movies
Learning the meaning of war:
First, patriotism.
Then, glory.
Finally, its true cost.

New Hairstyles for the Odinson Brothers?
In the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok movie, there's a rumour that Loki might have braided hair . . . .
. . . and Thor might sport an undercut?

Our Chris is 33 today!
And happy birthday to him, that handsome sonovabitch!
As Owen Chase, In the Heart of the Sea --
And like the modern man and father that he is, Chris bakes a birthday cake for his little girl. It's such a down-to-earth, non-Hollywood-star thing to do. He and his wife seem so sensibly intent on teaching their kids that what's important in life is what you do and not what you can buy, no matter how much wealth you have.

Loki's Moment of Truth
That horrifying, gut-churning, world-changing moment of truth when Loki discovers that he is not who he thinks he is. He is not Odin's son. Not Thor's brother. Not an Asgardian.
Loki discovers that he is the opposite of everything he believes himself to be. He is a Jotun -- a member of the despised race looked down upon by every Asgardian as the enemy and the "other." Loki, who has absorbed these lessons all his life, shares that low opinion of Jotuns.

In this split second, his world and self-image are destroyed. Everything is stripped from him in one cataclysmic instant.

I recognize this moment of truth. Anyone raised to believe in and share the values of a homophobic society knows this feeling, knows the impact of the moment when you realize you are gay, knows the shock and horror of truth and self-loathing. But it's also the moment when your true journey to wholeness, healing and self-love begins, if you have the strength and resolve to embrace a world in which cherished lies have been destroyed.
Or you can do as Loki does -- descend into anger, blame, bitterness and a twisted need for revenge.
