Is Loki Celebrating Tom's Birthday Too?

No, he's planning a different party. A big bash for Thor and the rest of the gods instead. To steal a line from Thor's epic rap battle with Zeus, he's gonna Ragnarok-the-house!

Our Tom is 34 Today

In true fangirl fashion, I'm celebrating Tom Hiddleston's 1981 birthday by posting a few photos of his other stellar film and stage roles. He's more than just Loki, although we all know that Loki would be enough! And now should I go squeeeee? (Pardon me, I'm new to fangirling). Okay, squeeeee!

Bromance Backpedaling

So no sooner do I undertake to ship Hiddlesworth as a bromance only than I come across THIS great photo manip --

[found at The Meta Picture]

And OF COURSE what immediately leaps to mind is that this is really Tom Hiddleston's and Chris Hemsworth's LOVE CHILD -- the product of Hiddlesworth MPREG! *sigh* Those two would create such beautiful offspring together, it's true.

Hiddlesworth Backpedaling

[by n0namae]

At the top of this page, the Thunderfrost Boys blog banner promises to deliver "All Things Thorki and Hiddlesworth." So where the fuck are all the Hiddlesworth posts? There has not been a single one posted in the blog's entire first year of operation.

All I can say is . . . I tried. I honestly tried to ship Hiddlesworth. But I can't do it. It's one thing to ship Thunderfrost and Frostiron -- Thor, Loki and Tony Stark are all fictional characters who are fair game for fantasy play. But shipping Hiddlesworth is another thing. Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth are real people with real lives. Hemsworth is married and has three kids, for gawd's sake. I just can't bring myself to ship these two as gay men who are romantically, emotionally and sexually involved with each other.

All I can do is what I've seen done on some other blogs -- ship them as a bromance only. Clearly these two men are friends and like each other a great deal. That's enough.

So anything I post under the Hiddlesworth Bromance label will simply show Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth being buddies. Not fuck buddies! Just regular buddies.

Slashaholic Thorki Addiction

[by confessionsofaslashaholic,
found here]

Today is the one year blogoversary of Thunderfrost Boys. I've had so much fun doing this over the past year, it's crazy!

I really enjoy looking for and finding the amazing variety of artwork, videos and slashfic created by so many talented people. I wish I had the originality and creative skill to produce my own contributions to this fandom but alas, I am not an artist and have zero computer knowledge to make videos, gifs or anything else. My only talents are an eye for decent art and a curatorial sensibility. That's why I collect what I consider to be the best representative works in this area and post them here with attribution and links back to their creators.

Hmmph! A curatorial sensibility? Oh, please. I'm simply rationalizing my slashaholic Thorki addiction the same way boozehounds just pretend that they're really fine wine connoisseurs, LOL!

Aw fuck it, who cares -- THORKI FOREVER!

Tangles

[by hiddlesexed-up,

And they've been tangled all up together ever since. The end.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

[For a lovely story which links five vignettes of emotional intimacy arising from hair cutting, see All Hands Against Our Own by stereobone. Summary: "four times Loki cut Thor's hair and one time Thor cut Loki's." The second vignette is my favourite, where Thor feels safe showing his pain and grief only to his brother.]

Oh yeah, baby, yeah . . . . You know it's true.
