Betrothal Gift

According to the artist marty-mc, Thor brings Loki the head of an ice dragon as a betrothal gift. I think this is a great illustration!

Thor comes directly from the battlefield still spattered with gore, looking very pleased with himself. Like any virile overconfident jock, there is no doubt in his mind that such proof of his lethal prowess cannot fail to impress.

Whereas Loki looks a bit horrified by the whole scenario, doesn't he? He's probably wondering how the hell anyone will ever get that bloodstain out of the carpet.

But the look is a definite fan favourite. Of course Loki would paint his nails black! It goes so well with his fondness for leather, chains and metal. As well as being colour-coordinated with those outfits. That's important.
